SS 1½ Litre (Mk IV)

The Jaguar SS 1½ Litre, later known as the Jaguar Mk IV, was produced from 1945 to 1948 and marked the brand’s return to car manufacturing after World War II. Offered as a saloon or elegant drophead coupé, it was available with 1.5, 2.5, or 3.5-litre engines. With its upright grille, sweeping fenders, and classic pre-war styling, the Mk IV combined luxury, craftsmanship, and smooth six-cylinder performance. As one of the last Jaguars with a separate chassis, it represents the final chapter of the SS-era design language. Most cars are fitted with type 42mm centres, with some later cars fitted with 52mm – double check this before ordering.
