A longtime passion of Paul’s has been competing in motorsport with ongoing fun and success.
He started racing Superkarts in 1981; 250 International Champion 1986. Two seasons at Calder Thunderdome, then XJ Sprinter in club events, culminating with competing in the Sepang 12 hour in Malaysia. He then built a Mk2 Nb Jaguar in 2000, which was campaigned successfully in Historics, Targas etc since.
The latest aquisition is his F5000 Lola T332. Originally owned/raced by Evan Noyes (US) 1974-75, then stored. Bought by Tomy Driss, raced in Historics 1994-98; purchased by Marc Raufcuss 2004, raced sparingly until acquired by Paul in 2010 and debuted in 2011.
The F5000s compete at various events around Australia including such prestigious events as the Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne Mar 2011, at the Phillip Island Classic in Mar 2012, and in the 2012/13 New Zealand F5000 Tasman Cup Revival Series and at Hampton Downs Jan 2013
At the recent Philip Island Historics Paul scored two wins in the 5000.
